HAVERHILL, M.A. – Mark Nugent, the Administrator at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is a recipient of the Patriot Award, which is an award given to managers who proudly support their employees who serve in the military.

Nugent was nominated to receive the award by his colleague Shannon Krisko, the Regional Director of Rehabilitation at The Oxford. Nominations are reviewed by the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve Department part of the Department of Defense office.

Earl T. Bonnet, the Area Chair of Massachusetts for Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve, presented Nugent the Patriot Award on June 15th.

“I have been in the Coast Guard for 17 years,” said Krisko, Nugent’s nominator. “Mark Nugent has actively supported my service during my time at The Oxford and I am grateful to have him awarded this for his support. Beyond this award, Mark has also celebrated our veteran residents and employees throughout his time here as an administrator.”

According to the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve office, the Patriot Award is given to those who “reflect the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence, if needed.”

Nugent is also an Army Veteran having served from September 1997 through September 2001.
